Hi, my name is Dr. Heath Marsh.  Let me tell you my story………….

As a teenager, football was not only my passion, it was my life.  After several hard years of dedication, I was blessed enough to go play football in college at the University of Northern Iowa.  Unfortunately, during my second year, I sustained a severe low back injury.  My football career was over.  Now, each day was misery.  I tried physical therapy, massage, and too many drugs to list.  My pain was so severe I could not walk, study, work, or sit for any length of time.  The pain down my right leg was so much that I could not sleep at night.  Two weeks after I married the love of my life, I collapsed in the stairwell to our apartment.  My wife dragged me inside because I could not feel my legs.  The following day I had an emergency low back surgery.  At first, I was in heaven.  No pain, no numbness…..life was good.  However, a few short months later, there I was right back where I started, only worse.

Then a friend, who was a personal trainer, spoke highly of her chiropractor.  She would go to him every two weeks just for a “tune up.”  I was not looking for tune up, I was looking for a complete overhaul.  My studies at the time were in sports rehab.  My goal was to go to get my masters degree in physical therapy.  I began care in Dr. Holmgren’s office, and within six months I was back hitting the weights hard again in the gym.  This was my life-changing moment!  This chiropractic stuff was really awesome and changed lives like no other health care field could.  I graduated from UNI and began my adventure for another four years in chiropractic school.

What was once a curse, is now a blessing. I can truly tell my patients “You know, I understand, I’ve been there before myself.”  Chiropractic is so much more than treating pain, headaches, or injuries.  It is about getting your life back and taking charge of it.  At Marsh Family Chiropractic, your goals become our goals.  Maybe they are short-term, or maybe they are long-term.  We expect excellence when it comes to serving our patients.  We have helped thousands of people achieve their goals in our office.  Let us help you achieve yours!
